Inspirational Story: The commandment nobody thinks applies to them.
Verse of the Day: Exodus 20:8
DAILY VITAMIN
You were made to stop before the list is done.
You treat rest like something you get after you earn it, so it never arrives. God put it in the top ten and attached no productivity clause.
Pick a stopping time today and honor it.
Tell your household when you are stopping.
Leave something unfinished on purpose.
INSPIRATIONAL STORY
You Are Not a Machine
There are ten commandments. We take nine of them seriously, but we treat one as a suggestion for people with easier jobs.
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
We would never say out loud that we skip a commandment. We say we are in a busy season, and the busy season has now run for eleven years.
But I want you to notice where God put rest in the story.
Adam was made on the sixth day, and then God rested on the seventh day. So Adam’s first full day of existence was the day God rested. He opened his eyes in rest, before he had produced a single thing.
You have been running it backward. Earn it, then rest. Finish, then breathe.
The list has never once been finished, so the breath never comes. There is a hard word in here, and it is worth taking on the chin.
Refusing to stop is not always about devotion to your work, family, and community. Sometimes, it’s because you have a control issue, and can’t fathom the world still turning if you cease working.
“The whole thing collapses if I let go for a day.”
Jesus stood up and said, ”Come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
He said come. Which means rest won’t come to you natrually. You must take a deliberate step toward it.
Here’s your focus for today:
Pick the Time: Choose an hour today when you stop, and write it down.
Say It Out Loud: Tell your household when you are stopping so it becomes real.
Leave It Undone: Let one task stay unfinished on purpose tonight.
Anchor your day in this truth: “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.” (Exodus 20:8)
The world held together before you. It will hold tonight. Put it down.

WATCH THE BIBLE COME TO LIFE
Most sermons show pulpits and talking heads… What if the sermon could show the actual story?
Pastor Adam Mesa preached on standing in the gap in prayer. We gave 89 seconds of that sermon a picture for every line, with no camera crew and no footage of the stage, for $83 in generation cost. On Instagram it passed 79K+ views.
