TODAY’S OBJECTIVES
Daily Vitamin: Peace is not passivity. It is leadership.
Inspirational Story: The loudest pressure in the room does not have to make the decision.
Verse of the Day: Colossians 3:15
DAILY VITAMIN
Peace is not passivity. It is leadership.
Urgency loves to dress itself up as wisdom. But the peace of God can rule without shouting, and you are allowed to slow down until you can hear it.
Pause before one pressured decision today.
Ask what choice keeps you faithful, not just fast.
Thank God once before you answer.
INSPIRATIONAL STORY
Let Peace Call the Play
Trevor almost said yes because the message had too many exclamation points. It sounded urgent. It sounded flattering. It sounded like an opportunity he would regret missing.
His chest tightened while he typed the reply. That should have been enough to make him pause.
You’ve been there, right?
A deadline leans over your shoulder. A person pushes for an answer. A fear says you will fall behind if you wait.
So urgency grabs the steering wheel and calls itself discernment.
But Paul says to let the peace of God rule in your heart.
That word means peace gets to call the play.
Not panic.
Not people pleasing.
Not the pressure to prove you are useful.
Peace does not always mean the easy choice. Sometimes peace sends you into hard obedience. But it does not need manipulation to move you.
Today, slow the room down. You are not required to obey every loud thing. Let peace speak before you decide.
Here’s your focus for today:
Pause the Pressure: Delay one answer long enough to breathe and pray.
Name the Driver: Ask whether peace, fear, pride, or people pleasing is leading.
Choose Faithful Over Fast: Make the decision that keeps you obedient, even if it is slower.
Anchor your day in this truth: "Let the peace of God rule in your hearts." (Colossians 3:15)
Urgency can be loud and still be wrong.
Peace can be quiet and still have authority.
Let peace call the play.
