"Success is often about knowing what to quit as much as what to keep."
— John C. Maxwell
TODAY’S OBJECTIVES
Daily Vitamin: Sign your own permission slip.
Inspirational Story: 3 things to quit this week so you can start running
Verse of the Day: Psalm 4:8
DAILY VITAMIN
Sign your own permission slip.
You're waiting for validation that will never come because God already gave you everything you need. The only signature missing is yours.
Pray for clarity on your first step forward.
Identify one thing you’re waiting for permission to do.
Take that first step badly instead of perfectly.
INSPIRATIONAL STORY
It’s Time to Quit
It’s another Monday morning.
You’re sitting there with a notification still glowing on your screen.
Another opportunity.
Another invitation.
Another person asking you to show up.
And that familiar weight settles in your chest:
Should I?
Am I ready?
What if I’m not good enough yet?
Your finger hovers.
You close the app.
But waiting is just quitting in slow motion.
Every day you hold back isn’t patience; it’s the comfort of potential over the risk of the actual.
And the world will keep handing you a script—the right degree, the respectable path, the predictable order—while God keeps handing you a calling that doesn’t fit their template.
You already know what you’ve been waiting to start.
The fact that that notification made your chest tighten is not fear. That’s recognition.
The race has your name on it.
You just have to quit a few things before you can run it.
Here’s your focus for this week:
Quit shrinking. Stop explaining why God gave you your gifts. You were built for expansion, not apology. Name one area where you’ve been dimming your light, and stop.
Quit feeding what’s killing you. The comparison feed, the criticism loop, the people who only show up to remind you of old versions of yourself. Step back from one today. Run clean.
Quit waiting for perfect. Pick one thing you’ve been delaying. Start messy. Start scared. Just start. The people building things aren’t flawless; they’re moving.
Anchor your week in this truth: “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” — 2 Timothy 1:7
The race isn’t waiting for you to feel ready.
It’s waiting for you to run.
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:8)
Devotion: Even in the darkest hours, God is our true safety. Trusting Him allows us to lie down and rest in the assurance of His constant protection.
Action: Intentionally go to bed a bit earlier tonight. Let extra rest restore a sense of calm.
