“Prayer is not overcoming God's reluctance. It is laying hold of His willingness.” - Richard Chenevix Trench
TODAY’S OBJECTIVES
Daily Vitamin: Showing up empty is still showing up.
Inspirational Story: Your worst prayer this week may be the one that counted.
Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 12:9
DAILY VITAMIN
Showing up empty is still showing up.
Most of us grade our prayers by how they felt. Warm means it worked. Flat means we blew it. God never handed you that scale, and you can put it down today.
Pray once today without checking how it felt.
Say the one sentence you actually mean, then stop talking.
Come back tomorrow even if nothing lands.
INSPIRATIONAL STORY
Flat Prayers Still Count
Dana prayed for four minutes in her car before work.
She felt nothing.
She said amen anyway and turned the key.
By lunch, she had decided the whole thing was theater.
You know the scale she was using.
Warm feeling = God showed up.
Nothing = you did it wrong.
Nobody taught you that out loud, but you picked it up somewhere and started living by it.
The trouble with measuring our prayers on feeling is that it grades God on your blood sugar, how much sleep you got, how hydrated you are, or what you had for breakfast. The health of your prayer life should never be measured by whether you stubbed your toe that morning or not.
Paul begged God three times to pull a thorn out of his body. And three times, God said no. What God said instead was that His power lands best on weak ground.
Jesus prayed in a garden until He sweated blood. He prayed for the suffering to pass over Him… but the answer that came back was ‘no.’ He kept praying anyway.
Prayer is a connection with God. And He keeps that connection steady when you feel unsteady. Anchor yourself in that. Anchor yourself in Him.
Here’s your focus for today:
Drop the Scale: Pray once today without grading how it felt afterward.
Say the True Sentence: One honest line beats twenty borrowed ones, so say the thing you actually mean and stop.
Come Back Tomorrow: Show up again even if today landed flat, because faithfulness is measured in returns.
Anchor your day in this truth: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
You are not too dry to pray.
You are exactly dry enough.
Say the four minutes.
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
Fruit of the Spirit Action: Thank God out loud for one specific promise He’s kept.

HOW DO WE FALL?
We’ve looked at the Fall of Man in the wrong way. Two people made a mistake, and now we’re all punished for it. But the story of Genesis 3 is far more complext than that.
Adam and Eve’s decision is the same one we make every day when we choose ourselves over God. And the serpent isn’t an ancient creature… he’s alive today, whispering the same lies in our ears.
