DAILY VITAMIN
Christ stays when the season ends.
The decorations come down, but the Savior does not. The peace, presence, and purpose you felt this week are meant to follow you into the ordinary days ahead.
Pray for Jesus’ peace to cover your post-Christmas pace.
Identify one area where God is inviting you to deeper consistency.
Write down one Christmas truth you want to carry into January.
INSPIRATIONAL STORY
Christmas Is Over… Now What?
The wrapping paper is gone.
The leftovers are stacked in the fridge.
The lights are still glowing, but the rush, the anticipation, the noise…all of it has quieted.
And now you’re standing in the in-between.
Christmas is over… now what?
The truth is, the days after Christmas have a strange feeling to them.
It’s a pause between the magic of what just happened and the unknown of what’s next.
But here’s something we rarely talk about:
What if the most important part of Christmas is actually the “after”?
Think back to the shepherds.
After the angels filled the sky with music and glory… they still had to go back to their fields.
Think of Mary.
After holding the Messiah in her arms… she still had to raise Him day by day, moment by moment.
Think of the wise men.
After offering their gifts… they returned home by another road.
The miracle happened in a moment.
The obedience happened afterward.
Christmas gives you an encounter. But the days after Christmas give you a choice:
Will you carry the message, or will you pack it away with the decorations?
Christmas is over, but Christ is not.
The world moves on quickly. Sales. Returns. New Year’s prep.
But the Savior who stepped into the manger hasn’t moved an inch.
He is still here. Still speaking. Still guiding. Still inviting you closer.
So maybe the better question is not “Christmas is over, now what?” but…
“Christmas is over… what now lives in me?”
Did the peace you felt stay with you?
Did the gratitude soften your heart?
Did the story of Jesus stir something deeper inside you, something you don’t want to lose?
Because when the message of Christmas becomes the lifestyle of January, the real transformation begins:
So here are three invitations for the days ahead:
Hold onto the wonder.
The same God who entered your December wants to lead your January.
Don’t rush past what He whispered to your heart.
Carry the peace.
The Prince of Peace didn’t come for one day.
Let His presence be the calm that steadies your mornings.
Live the message.
If Christmas is God coming close, then the “after” is your chance to walk closely with Him.
Christmas ends, but Christ remains.
The lights dim, but His light in you does not.
The gifts get put away, but the greatest gift (Jesus) stays in your hands, your home, and your heart.
