You can bring your questions in the front door.
Somewhere you learned that a real Christian does not wonder. So you hid the wondering, and hiding it turned a question into a wall.
Say one doubt out loud to God today.
Ask one honest question to someone you trust.
Show up to the thing anyway.
INSPIRATIONAL STORY
Bring the Doubt With You
The boy hits the ground again. Foam spits from his mouth and his limbs turn rigid. The crowd pulls back as they watch his father sob.
His father has had to watch his boy suffer for years… and it’s broken his belief.
He went to the disciples for help. “Can you heal my boy? Can you get this demon out of him?” They tried. Nothing happened.
When Jesus arrives, the father isn’t hopeful or expectant. If you’ve experienced enough grief in your life, you’ve learned to not get your hopes up too much.
He said it straight to the face of God.
“Do you believe I can help your son?” Jesus asks.
And the father replies with the most honest, raw, and relatable prayers in Scripture: “Lord, I believe, but help my unbelief.”
Jesus doesn’t rebuke that prayer. He doesn’t correct the father or wait for more faith. It’s enough. Why? Because it’s honest.
Jesus heals the boy.
You have been treating your doubt like a disqualification for connection. Listen to me closely: your doubt is the doorway.
The people in Scripture who experienced the most intimacy with God are those who brought all of who they were foreward. They didn’t hide their doubts; they brought them to His feet.
Here’s your focus for today:
Say the Doubt: Tell God one specific thing you are not sure about, in plain words.
Ask Out Loud: Bring one honest question to a person you trust instead of carrying it alone.
Show Up Anyway: Go to the prayer, the table, or the pew before the question is settled.
Anchor your day in this truth: “Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, ‘I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!’” (Mark 9:24)
Your faith does not have to be clean.
It has to be pointed at Him.
Bring what you have.
