Be the Call They Want to Answer
Live so people want to answer when you call—plant seeds of grace and kindness in every conversation. You can't control responses, only what you plant.

TODAY’S OBJECTIVES
Daily Vitamin: Be the call worth answering.
Inspirational Story: Learn to be the name people want to see.
Verse of the Day: Proverbs 23:24
DAILY VITAMIN
Be the call worth answering.
Every time your name appears on someone's screen, you're revealing what you've planted in their life. Grace and kindness make people want to hear your voice.
Pray for wisdom in every conversation you have today.
Text three people just to check in.
Listen more than you talk in your next call.
INSPIRATIONAL STORY
Be the Call They Want to Answer
Your phone lights up on the counter.
A name flashes across the screen.
You’ve got a few seconds before it goes to voicemail.
Your thumb hovers. Answer or decline?
We’ve all been on both sides of that moment.
Your name carries weight.
I recently heard a quote that really stuck with me:
“Live your life so that when your name shows up on someone’s phone, they want to answer.
Not out of obligation.
But because they want to hear your voice.”
That’s the goal.
But here’s the thing:
You can’t control whether people answer.
You can only control what your name means.
Think of it like planting seeds. Every conversation is soil.
Every time you show up in someone’s life, you’re dropping something into the ground.
Kindness is a seed.
So is respect.
So is showing up when it’s hard, listening when it’s easier to talk, and remembering what matters to them.
You don’t see the harvest right away.
But over time, people learn what grows when you’re around.
They learn whether your name means peace or chaos, life or drain.
In Colossians 4:6, Paul wrote,
“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”
Grace first.
Not judgment.
Not what you need from them.
Grace makes people want to pick up.
And salt makes them remember why.
So live today in a way that makes tomorrow’s calls welcome.
Because in the end, your voice will either add weight…or lift it.
And that choice is yours.
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
“The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice.” (Proverbs 23:24)
Devotion: God rejoices over His children when they walk in righteousness. Live to bring joy to your heavenly Father.
Action: Call or text a family member and share how they bring you joy.
